Absolutely hate the expensive bed I bought. I have had numerous problems e.g. the bed was not installed correctly which they eventually acknowledged ... The first firm edge mattress dangerously stank for a month so that had to be replaced as I could not breathe and had to stay at my daughters until the mattress was replaced (I have cancer). We were told the glue on the firm edge is quite pungent. No amount of airing could clear the smell. No refund was given to my massage facility - 'read the terms and conditions if you change the mattress we don't have to refund you on that" I then had the fiasco of it being replaced with 2 mattresses that were wrong - type or size as they did not bring the one I ordered as a replacement to the pungent one. But the mattresses really are not nice - they are lumpy where the beds move up and down if you have the sprung ones. I am now looking to cut my loses and get my sleep back on track, and change to a tempur mattress and may completely ditch the bed after just 3 months which cost me 4,000 and put it down to experience. In addition, they had to disable a button on the remote control - i.e. remove it, as they said it was dangerous and would propel me out of bed - so even the control now looks awful!!! The 2 star rating is because they were very good on the sales side and covered the frame in the fabric I had wanted, and they did send engineers out to help after my complaints, with a bit of a push. It's just a terribly disappointing product that has caused me a lot of heartbreak, and by the way the new tempur mattress is utterly marvellous and does not smell!
Dual Mahogany Sleigh BedThis bed looks and feels good The mattresses are really comfortable and I can now get a good nights sleep.I would recommend this to anyone. Easy to operate.Installation was included so no worries there.I have a kingsize dual bed (2 separate mattresses) and I cover it with a superking quilt - it looks really nice.
I recently bought an adjustable bed from Laybrook and love it. Visiting their showroom was important as I was able to ask all the questions I needed to in an unhurried manner with the sole attention of the sales person, and all with a very welcome cup of coffee. Not to mention trying out the mattresses! The delivery of the bed was expertly handled, with the guys setting it up swiftly and efficiently. All packaging taken away and the controls demonstrated. They also kindly moved my old bed into my spare room as it needed to be dismantled and screwed back together. A job I couldn't do myself. The Ashby Oak model looks great and feels very solid. The mattress provides the firmness and support I need for my back but is also extremely comfortable. Since getting this bed I've slept so much better as I'm able to adjust my sleeping position to cope with the nerve damage from a prolapsed disc.
We have bought three 'electric' beds from Laybrook over the past couple of years and every time they have delivered an excellent service and top quality beds. We really miss our adjustable beds when we go away on holiday as even 5 star hotels don't offer them! The adjusting motors are very quiet and easy to operate, even in the dark.We bought the Corfe beds with memory foam mattress upgrade. On all occasions Laybrook agreed to take the old beds away, the new beds were set up, demonstrated and all packing material was taken away.Sensible pricing too, it helps to buy this type of item direct from the manufacturer rather than via a retail outlet who add their massive profit margins.
My wife and I had been looking into changing our 'normal', bed to something more suitable for our requirements which included individual adjustable positions. After researching the market we chose Laybrook based on the product range, other reviews and the comparatively easy ordering process. We chose a linked bed with independently adjustable positions, plus with me being much larger than my wife, it was great to be able to specify the dimensions and weight factors of the 'his and her', sides of the bed. The mattress choice was good too and we realised that if we need mattress replacements we'd not need to get a single large one as before and can suit mattresses to our individual tastes.Delivery of the bed was OK, though I had to help the sole delivery man with some of the process. Luckily, we have a lift in our building.Operation of the bed is excellent. There's no 'stepping', of the positions within the full range of movement, it is very smooth and very quiet. Controls are easy to use and the whole frame of the bed(s), feel very, very strong. I have slept very well using this bed and now feel that any other bed in hotels etc. isn't quite up to this standard.Buyers with certain medical conditions can make the purchase VAT free which makes quite a saving at this price point.
